This is nothing less than a revolution generation of water from nothing
but thin air (and of course the most innovative advertising technique
ever!). UTECH designed a billboard that can convert atmospheric humidity
into drinking water through reverse osmosis in Lima, Peru where water
shortage is one of the biggest problems. Peru only gets 2 inches of
rainfall every year but has an extraordinarily high humidity, which is
how this technological trick led to happy faces filling buckets of water
and showering under the water dispenser below the billboard!!

'India ka no ullu banoing' idea's new campaign
3 March 2014
'Idea internet lagoing, India ka no ullu banoing,' goes Idea Cellular's latest jingle. The objective of this communication is to help the idea, to grow from a
mobile broadband business to a strong data network services player and at the same time demystify the concept of data services for the
benefit of the larger Indian population ('Har mobile par internet'). Therefore this Ad shows consumers who're not likely to be internet-savvy, including
housewives, senior citizens, rural folk and users of feature phones. The idea behind the film is that when the masses will have easy access to information, they will be less susceptible to being cheated.
Facing the tough competitions from Airtel and Vodafone, Idea has been working towards spreading awareness about 3G and
mobile internet services in India for the last three years, and claims
to be the only mobile operator to offer a range of self-branded,
affordable 3G smartphones to upgrade 2G users to 3G.
Initially it was started as a teaser campaign, with the release of teaser banners
and the 'Ullu jingle' on social media but now it has turned into a 360 degree campaign. The
media mix includes TV (currently three films are on air), radio,
outdoor, activation and digital (#Ullumatbano, a day-long Twitter
campaign and a digital film).
The concept was developed by Lowe Lintas & Partners, India.

Wall paintings: Still the most preferred form in Rural India
25 February 2014
FMCG majors have realised that there is no point spending several crores
on chic advertisement campaigns in the rural market. Simple and
inexpensive ways of marketing such as melas, posters, wall paintings, mobile vans and ‘haats’ are being increasingly used to connect and engage directly with the rural consumers. Among all these mediums, wall paintings still remain the most preferred options for the advertisers.
Majority of these FMCG companies spends around only 3-5% of their total allocated media budget in the rural market. It is also worth noting that approximately 40-45% of their total sales comes from the rural market.
FMCG and automobile companies are the biggest advertisers, given the number of categories and brands they have. Wall painting because of its availability at low costs serves as one of the most effective medium.
